THERMAL TREATMENTS
Classic Thermal Treatments
Direct Jet Inhalation
The Thermal Water is atomized by the vapour, constituting a warm-humid aerosol which fluidifies the secretions and cleanses the surface of the mucous membranes of the respiratory system. It is indicated for the prevention and the treatment of chronic bronchopneumapathies derived from smog and pollution, of rhinitis, pharyngitis and laryngitis.

Aerosol-Humage
The Thermal Water, finely fragmented due to compressed air, is inhaled with gases naturally released by the water itself. It is particularly indicated for rhinitis, sinusitis and catarrhal bronchitis.

Thermal Rhino aerosol

The optimal temperature of the aerosol and the dimensions of the aerosolyzed particles make this treatment not only well-tolerated, but also highly recommended for disorders in the respiratory system ( nose, pharynx, larynx).

Gas Inhalation in ambient
It is the fundamental treatment in Tabiano Therme Spa, based on Hydrogen sulphide gas; it is especially indicated for the treatments of chronic bronchopneumopathies, in particular those catarrhal. In order to exploit all its properties it has to be practised under medical prescription, and usually divided into 3 sessions.

Ultrasonic Nebulisation in ambient

An innovative inhalation technique, characterized by fine thermal water micelles( colloidal particles or ions consisting of oriented molecules). It can be applied to bronchopathies ( also asthmatic) and to laryngeal diseases. It is normally practised in 2 sessions.

Micronized nasal shower
Aerosol composed by big particles which exercise a washing and a water massage on the nasal cavities, helping the absorption of the active principles contained in the thermal water. Complementary or equivalent to the nasal irrigation , it strenghtens the effects of the inhalation treatments.

Nasal Irrigation
Washing of the nasal cavities with thermal water regulated on corporeal or higher temperature. it is indicated fo the treatment of chronic nasal pathologies suche as mucouspurulent and scabby rhinitis and rhinosinusitis. It is normally prescribed every other day, associated with other inhalation therapies.

Endotimpanic Insufflation

Specific therapy for catarrhal otitis in young, adult and old people. it is practised by medical staff, directing the thermal gas into the auditory tube through nasal catheterism.

Energetic Crenotherapic Politzer

Thermal technique particularly effective in the treatment of catarrhal otitis, especially in children. It is practised directing the thermal gas into the auditory tube, using a little instrument which occludes the nostril.

Vaginal Irrigation

Highly recommended for the treatments of inflammatory, catarrhal and pruriginous forms in the female genital apparatus. The technique is similar to the gynecological lavage and it is practised at low pressure and corporeal temperature.

Bath

It consists of total and partial bath immersions in the thermal water. They are indicated for the treatments of skin diseases such as atopic and eczematous dermatitis, psoriasis, acne, seborrhea etc. Recommended also for scar tissue from burns.

Oral Balneotherapy

Technique based on irrigation and oral and gingival hydromassage practised with a disposable system. Effective against gingivitis and periodontopathies.

Mineral Water Cure
Drinking Mineral Water helps to balance the lipidic order, to restore the hepatic functionality and to stimulate the production of antioxidant and antiageing agents as recent researches and experimentations have proved. Used under medical prescription, maximal dosage: about 350 ml/die.

Partial mud-therapy

Local application of thermal mud on the joints in order to obtain an analgesic, myorelaxing and antinflammatory effect. particularly recommended for the treatments of degenerative arthropathies ( arthrosis) and traumas.

Supplementary Thermal Treatments
Respiratory Physiokinetherapy
It consists of different techniques practised by a therapist, used to improve the respiratory gaseous exchanges and to facilitate the elimination of bronchial mucus. It is part of the therapeutic programme to treat the chronic bronchopneumopathies and it rapresents an useful help against particular respiratory illnesses to best exploit the Thermal treatments properties.

Mechanical Ventilation

Treatment normally used against some forms of obstructive bronchopathies, useful to help the bronchial clearing, to reduce the respiratory process and to improve the gaseous exchanges.

Tubal Re-education
Therapeutic method based on the learning of a series of exercises practised under a therapist guidance. It consists of phone-articulatory moves in temporal sequence, aimed at stimulating the muscles that regulate the opening and the correct functioning of the eustachian tube. It is an important completion in the treatment of the rhinogetic deafness, in children and adults.

Logopedic Re-education
Re-education of the vocal and respiratory function in cases of alterations of the vocal tone both in vocal professional men ( teachers, lawyers, singers, actors) and people who use their voice in an intensive and uncorrect way. It consists of a series of physical active exercises ( respiratory and vocal rehabilitation) and relaxation technique practised under a therapist guidance.

Vestibular re-education
Specific therapy aimed at the treatment of the most frequent peripheral vestibular disorders, usually not identified or generically ascribed to cervical arthrosis. It is practised under a therapist guidance after an accurate clinic and instrumental diagnosis.

TRT- Tinnitus re-education

Re-educating technique advisable for those who suffer from tinnitus ( noise in the ears as ringing, buzsing, roaring, clicking, etc.). It needs an instrumental and specialistic evaluation before.

Motor re-education
Reabilitative treatment oriented to the recovery of the motor functionality of the various body areas, particularly indicated in ortopedic-traumatology pathologies ( arthrosis, fractures, prosthesis surgery etc.). It can be practised alone or in groups under the guidance of qualified staff and the supervision of a physiatrist.

Motor hydrokinetherapy

Reabilitative treatment oriented to the recovery of the motor functionality using the physical properties of the water ( temperature and pressure). Practised under the guidance of qualified staff.

Vascolar programme

Reabilitative technique used for different vascolar disorders in lower limbs. it consists of vascolar exercises practised through the alternation of walks at different temperatures ( hot and cold).
