The hammam ritual foresees the passage through different environments, from the hottest to the coldest, in a journey to discover oneself, to listen intently to the needs of one's body, of total abandonment and meditation. An open programme which will allow you to experience oriental atmospheres: in the tepidarium (35°) for almost surreal sensations, where, amongst vapours, light games and the sounds of flowing water, time stands still. After a hot shower you can stretch out on the warm marble benches and let yourself be pampered. The hammam induces the total abandonment of oneself, a little nap perhaps, and above all, the complete possession of one's body. You will then enter into the calidarium (45° - 100% humidity) where the genuine steam bath takes place. Here, the heat dilates the blood vessels, creating great benefits for the circulation. It also acts positively on one's mood, driving away stress and tiredness and improving sleep quality. The warmth-humidity heals nose, throat and bronchial problems with a sort of natural inhalation therapy and reduces the problems of rheumatic and arthritic pains; furthermore, the copious perspiration permits the elimination of toxins and waste and the drainage of excess liquids. Taking into consideration the elevated temperatures in this environment, it is advisable to use it with moderation, alternating it with brief immersions in the frigidarium (28°), a pool of fresh water to tighten the pores, tone the muscles and give a boost of energy to the whole body. Before returning to reality, there is the ritual in the relax area, where samples of tea, delicate pastries and lazy reading will help those who have experienced the hammam ritual to gradually return to the rhythms and sounds of the outside world.
